Nothing lasts forever
Forever


Through all the smiles and the laughs,
when things started off great
Through all the fussing and the fighting,
they tried to stay strong.


He closed his eyes.


He ran his fingers through her hair.
He placed a kiss on her forehead.
He opened his eyes,
to look at the empty room surrounding him.
Nothing lasts forever.
And neither did they.
