Poem written on 10/04/11. General interest.
Monuments we build,
Still they sway with the wind, and the sun, and the lightning,
To monuments we pray,
Still we live in the fifth, through the night, with no guidance,
Solutions we seek,
While we squander opportunities, in the present, that define us,

Wonders to reap,
If we peace together, a progression, towards enlightening,
From minds so deep,
Filled with miles, of insight, to contrive with,
Oh, so sweet it would be,
To unleash, in the night, a revival

But covet we still,
Behaviors that intoxicate, and obstruct, and blind us,
But lie we will,
To protect our positions, and ego, and lethargy,
Watch each other die we will,
Gratifying ourselves, to the thought, of ourselves, in a limelight.
