A poem about one of my dear friends who has passed away
Another Angel Goes Home

You were taken from us way too soon.

Every night I see your face shining in the moon.

What was done to you just isn’t right.

What we would give to see you just for one last night.

We miss you unconditionally, please know this is true.

Not one person in this entire world could ever replace you.

The guilt I feel is sometimes, so relentless.

I’m still trying to cope and deal with all this mess.

Maybe if I spent more time or talked to you more

Maybe then you would still be able to walk through my door.

I am so sorry for not being there to say “Good-Bye”

But then again never once did I think you would die.

This is why we need to appreciate all we have each and every day

Because you never know when your joy can be snatched and taken away.

I can’t believe it has already been a year.

And that you’re up there and we are down here.

The legacy of your laughs and smiles will always live on

Your soul is still here even though your body is gone.

Keep watching over all those who love you,

And always know we love you, we do.
