Thinking about a girl
A flower that blooms at night is a rare and dangerous creature for the one that finds her.  Time seems to stop at the site of her and a fear of loss comes over so strongly that he does not blink.  He stares blindly at a radiant blur as his eyes begin to water and burn. He has to blink, but knows he shouldn't.

In a moment, he lets go.  His eyes open, but she seems to fade like the glimmer of a coin dropped into a murky pond. He reaches without fear or thought. Into uncertainty.  Nothing.

In the dark, he looses his sense of self.

His eyes can not find her.  They fool him with the illusions of spark and fire, but does find truth in a lie.  He knows that it is not her that he sees...his heart flickers.
