It could've been happier.. you know?
Two swain, wholly diverse in dignity,
In city dark, we lay our scene,
From recent grudge break to new desire,
Where uncivil word makes civil minds unclean.
From forth the fatal words of these two foes
A duo of star-cross'd lovers begin their life;
Whose well adventured joy combines
Do with their love bury their ill will of old.
The beauteous passage of their marked love,
And the continuance of their rancor rage,
Which, but their own true love, nought could remove.
Is now the decade traffic of my life’s stage;

That which if you with patient ears attend,
What here shall miss, our toil shall strive to mend
