A poem about change, written for the most part in free verse.
The insides of the earth roiled and bubbled
and the words came pouring forth.
The sight was beyond anything,
and the moment the cry came from out that endless tunnel . . .
things had changed.
There was something new,
something . . .
But the moment ended, and life was again still.
Yet the words went round and round,
and a light from heaven flooded all,
and there came illumination
                    transfiguration
                        permutation,
                        combination,
                    transformation.
And the wheels of time and space went
spinning,
        spinning,
                spinning.
And off into the nowhere did the wheels go
turning,
        turning.
Unearth the knowledge—
unearth that lack of understanding—
bring darkness to light
  join the fight
            make it bright!
            make it bright!
            make it bright!
And bring the darkness to light,
don’t lose the fight,
don’t lose the will,
you’ve a void to fill!
