Project in my English Class. I hope you all like it!
My dear, my sweet, how I love you
From words to smiles, I see it true.
Would you be mine would you stay, please?
Just to make my aching heart ease.

Am I rich like these earthly men?
Who all promised you sweet heaven?
Well my dear I promise you here
Mortal gold I’ve not while I’m near.

All I’ve got, my unyielding love
To nestle you, heavens above;
My sincerest honesty now
Would be the loving truth I bow.

A home is my earthly present
A hearty home for us decent,
With you as my beloved light;
Truly you are my lasting sight.

Gold and diamonds, I’ve had none
For honorable hearts be done.
The world around, I do not own
But humble branches I had grown.

A family, a lover true
My sincerest offer to you;
Like a beautiful white rose
I hope now you do not impose.
