My first attempt at Poetry in 1997. I was in somewhat of a mood the day I penned it.
The first days are the hardest so don't worry anymore,
when life looks like darkest night, you'll find me at your door.
Just think this through by and by, and let me know your mind.
Set yourself at ease my love and worry not this time.

You know all of the rules by now, the fire from the ice.
The shadows fall and cover us, come close to me, so nice.
You see my walls are blood and stone, and yet you find ways in,
something not so easy done, I feel you close within.

The endless night begins to fall, the hours drag on as so.
Like the morning sun you come and like the wind you go.
So yet I take you as I have, and seek no more to ask.
a gentle moment, held for now, as through a looking glass.
