those random moments that you suddenly feel full of warmth then a moment later cold again.
I shiver and goosebumps form on my uncovered skin.
my teeth chatter.
my fingers numb.
I am frozen!
I am cold, cold, cold.

Frozen to the core
under many layers
I breath in ice and exhale puffs of smoke.

An ember of heat flares to life
suddenly taking me by surprise.
It spreads from within;
the two opposing forces wage war with my body as the battleground.

I shiver I shake
as if to encourage the warmth.
Hot & Cold.
summer's warmth & winter's chill.
the combination of the two
fills me with a feeling unlike any other

A warmth rushes through me chased by a chill
I feel alive
I feel a tiny seed contentment sprout.

Then
as quickly as it came the warmth is chased out
the battle is over
the chill wins.
Which leaves me shivering once again.
