this is a short poem i came up with after reading edgar allen poe
As i hang here for a crime i didn't commit

Breath leaves my lungs and tears leave my eyes

Accused of murdering my love whose throat was slit

She appears before me and she cries

It was a wondering man who took her life

Her cold lips touch mine and I see his wicked smile

I hear her scream and see the blood on his knife

After the crime he ran many a mile

She whispers" We'll be together soon"

I whisper back," I love you" with my final breath

I watched as my soul left my body illuminated by the moon

Never before did i think that i would be waiting for death
