catty has a long life ahead of her. a very mysterious one too.
CATTY'S LIFE

I was sent to the office. I wasn't in trouble or anything. It was because of a important phone call. I stopped at the front desk. “come right in. Mr. Quinn has been waiting for you” the secretaries voice sounded polite. “okay” I replied as I stepped through the ancient oak door. “Come in and sit down.” Mr. Quinn's voice sounded soft and sad. I sat down in the hard plastic chair. “ what is it?” I asked uncertain. I had never been to the office before except for once and that was a long time ago. “ pickup the phone” said Mr. Quinn. I looked at my principal one more time before picking up the phone. “Hello?” I asked. “ Hey its me your mom” The voice on the other end of the line sounded worried a bit meloncholy. “Listen we are moving away tomorrow. So I want you to come home right now and start packing. I know its sudden but I got this fantastic offer about this house. It has three bedrooms so we can have a guest bedroom too, and it has four bathrooms. One for each room and one extra in the hall way. And all the bathrooms have a jacuzzi-like bathtub that is really huge-Its amazing. And its got hardwood floors so we don't have to vacuum up any pet hair. The guest room along with yours is upstairs, mine is downstairs its in Arizona so we have a long trip kiddo.” she ranted on forever about the house. “ Mom, I don't want to move away to Arizona. Its hot and its dry, besides I won't be able to see any of my friends. How'd you get the money for it anyway?” we were flat out broke. “ look on the bright side katt.” ( she used my nickname. Short for Catty) “ it will be fun. Like an adventure right?” she sounded so hopeful. I will bet a hundred dollars that she already bought it. “ fine” I sighed. I wouldn't win this one. “ thank you Sooo much. I know you will love it” with a squeal there was a click , and the phone went dead. I put the phone back in the receiver. “ so what was that about?” Mr Quinn, my principal, asked me. “ I could hear excited squeaks coming from the phone.” he raised an eyebrow, inquiringly. I sighed “ we're moving. I have to go home right away and pack. We are leaving tomorrow.”. “ So we won't be seeing you here again?” he asked. “Yep” my flat voice answered him. I let my black hair fall in front of my face. As I got up. “ it's been a nice time being here at Rosewood High and I'm sorry I will be leaving so abruptly”. I sounded sincere. “Its okay We will miss you. Write sometimes. Maybe” he said before nodding, inquiring me to leave. I got up and left. I walked back to my class in a daze, my head reeling. I entered the classroom, my homeroom, and I went and gathered all my stuff out of my desk. “ excuse me. Catty what are you doing?” my teacher, Mrs. Silver wood, looked at me with a raised eyebrow. I walked over to her. “ I am moving today and my mother requested me to come home immediately so I am.” I said my eyes narrowed.. “okay sure go right ahead.” my teacher Mrs. Silver wood, hated me. “ class. Catty's leaving. She is moving away too.” she turned to me. “Arizona” I said my voice quiet. “She is moving to Arizona.” she called out, her voice raised. I glanced at my teacher. She had a smug look on her face. She turned and faced me, a fake grin plastered on her face, though her eyes were full of contempt. “go and clean out your locker and your desk.” ( yes I know it seems weird to be having desks that store stuff in high school.) she said her lips sealed in a tight line. “okay” I said as I turned my back to her. I walked over to my desk, removed all my stuff and grabbed my bag, which had a black and silver cat on the front. The cat had purple eyes. And it had a white and black wolf on the back. The wolf had golden yellow eyes, but the left eye had a fleck of emerald green in it. It was like it splintered off of a emerald and fell into the wolf's eye. I loved that back. I strided gracefully out of the room. I went to my locker, emptied it and slammed my locker. I half-ran down the hall and out the school's doors. I gave one last glance at my old school. I whirled around toward home and ran and jumped onto my bike. I gave my bike a running start and I was off toward home. I arrived home twenty minutes later. “welcome home sweetie.” my moms voice sounded from her bedroom. I went to my room slammed the door and faced my room. I sighed. I started to move toward my closet. I would start there first. I didn't remember going to sleep or laying on my bed but I opened my eyes and saw my clean pretty much empty room. I groaned rubbing my eyes. “ I packed every single last thing in here. No joke. Well except for your bed.” my mom was standing in my doorway. “ you were so tired you fell asleep in your closet. Stuck in there actually.” she chuckled. “ you were buried in clothing and garbage and papers and etc. nice to see your alive” she smiled. C'mon lets get this show on the road. The moving man is going to grab the last of the furniture so don't worry about your bed.” she said with a gesture. I sat up then groggily followed her. We got in the van. “ where's Mew and Zu Zu?” ( I call my pets by nicknames when they're not around) “ in the back in their kennel. Why do you call Merica Mew. I understand why you call Azure Zu Zu but Merica has to be mew?” she asked me this every day. And I tell her the same answer.( the reason why Merica is called what she is, is because on my 14th birthday ( the birthday I got her on) she had gotten red and blue hair dye spilled on her while I was messing with my moms stuff. I still couldn't believe that I spilled red stripes on her beautiful white coat perfectly and she has a big blue patch of fur on her. Its permanent hair dye that I spilled on her too. The real reason I call her Mew though is because I dyed her (unpermanent dye) pink. And she has big gorgeous sparkling blue eyes.) “ you remember. I dyed her pink. And she has big blue eyes. Like the Pokemon mew.” ( I love Pokemon) I stated firmly. “okay okay let's go.” she handed me a McDonald bag. “breakfast?” she asked smiling before pushing on the the gas pedal and we started off. I fell asleep after tucking into a not very healthy, breakfast. I was jolted awake after a few bumps. “ eh? Where are we?” I grumbled rubbing my eyes some more. “ almost there is all I can tell you.” she replied sounding tired. “ I can drive” I pouted. I was seventeen, after all, I did have a permit and stuff. “ I don't think so” she mumbled. “ yes I do. Look at you mom. You can't even keep your head up and your eyes are closing. Pull over. Please, I don't feel like getting into a wreck.” I stated my eyes narrowed. What I had said was true though. My mom was gripping the steering wheel hard enough to keep herself up right, yet her head was lowered and almost touching the steering wheel. She grumbled then pulled over. “ fine just don't kill us.” she got out and I got out. We traded spots. I slammed the door shut the same time she did. As soon as she buckled, she was out. I started driving down the road. I sped up to the speed limit and I drove past some very sluggish cars. I looked at the dashboard. It said turn right on Gale road. I drove until I saw Gale road. I turned right. I drove down the street. I looked at the directions. It said turn left on Night lane. I came to Night lane. Then the directions said to turn left again on the darkest house with bright white flower's in the yawn. It was the only house on the street. I wondered why. I turned onto the drive way and I found that the directions were stuck to the dashboard with a mysterious looking black object. I touched it then suddenly there was a click and I looked to my right. A sleek silver door was opening up. Was is a garage? I wondered briefly before turning into the garage. I hit the button again and there was a click and the garage door closed after I safely parked inside the garage. i turned and shoved my mom. she jolted up straight, just a wee-bit to fast. She hit her head on the car's ceiling. "ow" she groaned rubbing her head. " where are we?" she said groggily. "Home" i stated. That woke her up. She unbuckled and out of the van before i can say "welcome to the hot dry desert mom." I got out of the van muttering to myself about crazy moms who didn't pay attention to what's going on around them. I picked up the house key from the dashboard. I walked around to the front of the house. My mom was trying to scale the wall to reach the partially-open window. I sighed as I unlocked the door. I walked back to the van to get Mew and Zu zu.
