A love poem that I have written.
She asks me if she is my world,
My angel from above.
She asks me if I will stay true,
She asks if I’m in love.

I tell the truth, it’s only fair,
No lies will be spoken.
“You are my angel, but I’m not in love.”
She looked so heartbroken.

As she turns to leave and walk away,
I take her by the hand,
I look into her big blue eyes,
“I don’t think you understand.”

“Babe, I’m falling fast for you.”
I put my hands around her waist.
“Babe, you’ve got me falling fast,
It’s like my heart is in a race.”

She looks up at me and smiles,
Her cheeks are slightly red
She wraps her arms around my neck
And this is what she said:

“Babe, I’ve fallen long ago,
And I’ve safely landed.
So, when you’re ready to come down,
I’ll be waiting, open handed.”

Then she kissed me on the lips,
Proving what she said was true.
This was her perfect way of saying,
“Baby, I love you.”
