A poem I wrote about my boyfriend of two years. :)
A man who’s tall enough
so that I stand on my toes to kiss him.

I don’t want to have to bend down,

or his lips, I might miss them.

A man who’s strong enough
to carry me to our bed.

A man with hair so thick,

and true intelligence in his head.

If arrogance is a must,
then arrogance there shall be,

but he also needs to be informed,

that the winner is always me.

A man who can handle me,
and all the torment that lies within.

He needs to have a lot of patience,

no, “it’s wearing thin”.

I’m done with little boys who think
that they can play and leave.

I want a man who around me,

can hardly even breathe.

I may not be beautiful,
on the inside or the out,

but I want a man who knows it’s me,

he cannot live without.

He needs to know I’ll never change
as much as I say I’ll try.

I need him to be there for me,

to hold me when I cry.

He needs to show his feelings,
whether he thinks I’ll laugh or not,

because to be honest, a man who can cry,

to a woman is incredibly hot.

It just so happens I’ve met this man,
he knows not ‘bout this rhyme.

He seems to be the perfect fit,

I guess we’ll see in time.
