A poem of the struggle to move forward in life.
Vague and distant,
Shrouded in a fog of uncertainty.
What lingers on a far horizon?
A smudged vision,
A faint possibility,
Of some unlikely future.
The rays of sunlight,
Pale and weak,
Desperately piercing through.
Could they be a sign,
Of some diluted hope?
Can you find your way
Along the roughened path,
To some unknown destination?
Will it hold for you
An unexpected opportunity?
Will it give you the courage
To strike out in the darkness?
Will it give you the strength
To trudge a little further?
If you do, if you can,
Battle through the wilderness,
Will you find
What you are searching for?
Do you know what it is?
When you reach the end
Of the long, winding road,
Will it matter?
Somewhere in the chilling mist,
Lies all the answers.
