Written while conflicted about my romantic relationship and my relationship with God.
Confession
Not what she envisioned,
Not what she had planned,
Sitting on the floor
For the weekly meeting.
Sin
Always on her mind,
In her nature, which is flesh,
In her deepest parts;
Soul rended to pieces.
Faith
That she can be saved
But does she want it?
She can't yet say;
She doesn't know.
Love
For man, and for God
Can't there be both
Outside of marriage?
Seemingly not.
Choices
Yes, the choice is hers
And hers alone to make;
So now the final question:
Which path is hers to take?
