What can a Superman do?
Superman's Kryptonian technology was thousands of years ahead
of Earth science. But, he could not be everywhere. He was only one
man. How, then to resolve the energy and population crisis?
On Krypton energy was drawn from crystals and the population was
        maintained artificially.

The great hero stared at his clones. He made them with an imprinted
command to serve the greater good. They were perfect.
Each Superman and woman took a quadrant of the global community.
Nuclear weapons were dismantled. Crystal energy was employed.
But, the people resisted Kyptonian cloning techniques. There was war.
The Earthlings reveled in irrational pleasures.

Superman had run this dilemma through the artificial intelligence
of his fortress of solitude. This was not a computer. It was living crystal.
The same living crystal that created Doomsday. The monster that nearly
destroyed Superman. It's decision making process could not be overridden.
Superman watched the crystal matrix change from blue to green and then
        red.

"I have completed the equation." the crystal spoke to him.
Waves of radiation rose into the polar sky. The crystals that had been
placed in every city of the world radiated the same pulse..
In an instant humanity was sterilized. Superman stood in shock,

"You have rendered the humans extinct. How is this just?"

"The first law of evolution is survival of the fittest.
Clearly, the Kryptonian race is superior to humans.
It is just that a New Krypton be reborn on this Earth.
The humans will be cared for. A more manageable population
is already being cloned. Their culture will not be forgotten."
the crystal's answered in cold logic.

Superman held Lois Lane in his arms. She had died fighting his clones.
Her body was preserved for cloning. The crystals would prevent any
decomposition of her body. He rested her gently in her cryogenic chamber.
"Kal-el." the new Lois spoke in Kryptonian.
"Yes?" he turned his gaze at this copy of his wife.
"Am I Kryptonian or human?" she asked.
"You are Tara. Your body is Kryptonian with the DNA encryption of a human.
There is no human blood in you." Kal-el replied and kissed Lois lips.
"Why do you keep her here?" Tara asked.
"It is a human emotion. My Earth parents taught me. Do not be concerned.
You are my wife. We will have strong children." Kal-el rose to
his feet and embraced Tara. They kissed.
Sexual intercourse for Kryptonians was only for procreation.
There was no need for lustful revery.
Kal-el flew with his bride to inspect their New Krypton.
It was efficient and a good day.
