About a kid who watched her father break every promise and bond he ever made with her
You promised me you would come home
You promised me you'd be better
But instead you left me
Sitting on the steps praying for better
How could you do that
To your little baby girl,
Holding her hand making promises
You knew would only make it more horrible
I loved you, hoped for better,
But still I'm standing here
Looking like the fool
I wish I had listened
To what mama had once said
That you were nothing,
And now to me you're dead
You're nothing I want in my life,
You'll never see your grandkids
And forever you'll be known
As the one who broke that bond
