The princess

Pixies are real as they light up the night.
Just ask the glowworm that passes in flight.
For there is a princess and yes, only three
The world is whatever she wants it to be.

The sky isn't air it's a place filled with wonder
Behold all you stars, call the sun and the thunder
And do all her bidding along with the sea
For she is a Princess and yet only three.

Her gown is of pink her jewels show the same
the trees bow in reverence when they hear her name.
The roses adore her that smile oh so sweet
the princes will flounder and beg at her feet.
But she'll just ignore them and go on with life
For she's only three and will not be a wife.

May she dance let her sing calling pixie and fairy
With so much to do there is no time to tarry
For she must survey the expanse of her court
Inspecting her knights as they put on their sport
Of jousting for royalty to capture the heart
Of one chosen damsel to ensure their start
Or bring on a smile from a princesses face
Forever ensuring a well favored place.

As night comes upon her and stars fill the sky
She will put down her scepter for bedtime is nigh.
Her ladies prepare her a place for her sleep
And guards watch her doorway ensuring her keep.

She wearily creeps to her silk, down filled bed
Arranging the pillows to place her dear head.
She'll dream of white horses or rainbows she'll see.
The princess is tired and she's only three.

A princess has duties possessing the key
That one must conform to if only age three.
So just say your prayers, calling God "glory be"
for the princess is sleeping and she's only three
