A man's regret over the path not taken
Many times I sit alone reflecting on our past
Special as our time together was, I knew it couldn’t last

No matter the joy we found together, I knew it wasn’t real
The wild and crazy adventures we had, now seem so surreal

In life I found you much too late, my path already selected
So with tear-filled eyes and a broken heart, my love for you I rejected

It’s with great sorrow I walk this path, my heart it beats with pain
Of all the wonderful times we had, memories are all that remain

Oh how you haunt my thoughts and dreams, peace I never find
For the bittersweet memories of you, are ever present in my mind

Often I wonder if in your life, upon your mind I weigh
Does the love you had for me back then, in your heart remain today

Or if by chance our paths should cross, as through our lives we go
Would I be nothing more, than someone you used to know
