Villanelle about a man with a leaky roof.
He felt soft drops upon his head
it dripped his mind to near-insane
He sighed, and held on by a thread.

While looking at the roof, he pled
to end this horrid rain campaign
He sighed, and rolled across the bed.

The pool upon his pillow spread
it claimed large parts of his domain
He sighed, and held on by a thread.

He swore until his face was red
and cursed until it caused him pain
then sighed, and rolled across the bed.

He threw a lamp as anger led
and gazed above with smug distain.
He screamed, and lost his only thread.

'Though rooms with leaky roofs I’ve fled
for hours ‘til the storm did wane,
Another man I knew once said,
“I sighed, and simply moved the bed.”
