Far across a distant ocean

I sit and wait for you

I stare into its deep dark soul

A thriving endless blue

But could it be only a reflection?

Of my contemplative inner complexion

Defeated by this watery rejection

Oh God!  Won’t this water you grant subside?

And calm these raging tides

And through the sea deliver my cries!
