A tale for two
Snuggling into the dark gray fabric
Feeling the warmth
Soft cotton with semi
polyester undertones

I breath in deeply
the scent of you
Your arm rests delicately on mine
And we sit
silent
comfortable
like cotton

Then at once
The skin is removed
Leaving me, alone in a
sweatshirt
My once great idea, now silly
And the traces of scent leave
after too many washed

You say I should keep it
As a way of remembering

But the absent scent only
makes me want to forget.
