Relying on others rather than oneself does eventually hurt.
I knew it was too good to be true,

However, I tried to hold onto something new.

New hope of some other end leading to some other enlightening beginning,

Beginning that starts with my hopes lingering

Onto some other person or another individual

But it was trying to arrange a mirage into new visual.

Visual of a life that was too good to be true,

However, I tried to hold onto something new.

Truth is that a mirage is just a game of mind,

It is just an illusion, which is in turn aligned

In such an alluring way to trap someone blind in its web.

This same web has trapped me before,

Nevertheless, I got too drunk on my belief peg-by-peg,

Seeing someone in front of me holding, a new life’s door.

This happy belief was too good to be true,

However, I tried to hold onto something new.

From the start, I started having doubts,

A thought within me was trying to shriek out aloud,

“If you can’t rely on your mind and your capability yourself,

How can you try to belief any other soul of somebody else?”

My mind was trying too hard to get me from getting hurt again,

But instead of listening to it, I let the whole process of torture begin.

My deafness towards myself was too good to be true,

However, I tried to hold onto something new.
