when poetry shows his unconditional ways...
His voice came through the night like stories of love being told,
It broke down the wall of glass and to him I gave my soul.
His hands were like what I had never felt before...
His whispers could awaken a thousand corpses,
And make them walk forever more.
How I dreamed many nights of a paper and pen,
Just to jot down the love that I had for poetry.
Your thoughts leave me speechless and I only wonder
about this eternal comradery.
When I cried through the night with pain too strong
for the world to hear it was you I turned to...
No one knew of the stories we told wishing to come true...
And even though the mutual heartache was too strong for us to take,
I held on...
And the barrier that separated us could never be that strong to,
Take away any love that I have for you even for a moment.
For the words we share are much too sacred.
And even though I have shared you with the world,
It is I who has heard your deepest thought.
And to her knees you brought this Queen to shed tears of this love unspoken.
So in the end both hearts will be broken,
For our love is much too strong for the world to face.
So tonight I express my love for poetry,
For always showing me his unconditional ways.
