The Writer's Cramp contest
Nothing is lovelier to see
Then the color of the sea.
Unless, of course, you speak of me
Then green with envy you might be.

I don' know why my skin turns blue
Neither sun nor shade can change the hue.
A fact of life I can't construe
A blessing and a curse, it's true.

So many different shades of me
Indigo, sapphire and blueberry.
From dawn to dusk I cannot flee
The color that possesses me.

Another day still sees me blue
But I know I'll make it through.
There is nothing left to do
Except embrace the color blue!
