A poem that I wrote after the death of my wife.
For my late wife.

I float through the cool night air,
My heartache is becoming too much to bear.
I will wake in the morning crying aloud,
Since you died I live life under a very dark cloud.

God took you away from me in a very cruel way,
No matter how I prayed he still wouldn't let you stay.
The cancer won the final battle, though you tried so hard to win,
So now I am left on my own, not knowing where to begin.
