Anger and resentment toward my estranged father.
I lay at night
wondering why
you had to leave,
was it not enough for you
to have a daughter and a wife;

Was it cause you want a son
is that why you left with her
left us here,
left your wife to wipe your daughter's tears;

Left your wife to tell your daughter
her daddy wasn't coming back,
how could you do that to your wife,
your little girl,
you were her entire world;

Just last year you said
you don't know what you'd do if your wife died,
you held her hand and cried,
as she was fighting for her life;

Now you're gone
you moved away
almost never see your daughter,
she grew up, she found herself,
does it hurt you when you think
you barely even know your daughter;

Well that's the end
I've had enough
we don't see you
and I'm glad,
I tried and tried
you never cared
so that's the end
just one more thing,
please just tell me why you left me, Dad?
