War drives us to do unspeakable things... But is it better to just curl up and die amidst?
I don’t need to feel the wind around me,
As this insurgence shifts to swallow everything

I just need to pray for the peace
That lies somewhere faraway; as their poor souls freeze.

There’s no escape, everything may shatter,
Still I sleep tranquil as this agony overflows and scatters

Their innocent tears may trickle down their cheeks
Betrayed and angry, hanging for years, months and weeks.

Salvation never comes in time, even for a day
But nothing can touch me as I dissolve and slip away.

To a sanctuary where sun never goes down...
Away from all the malice, sighs and frowns

Does it matter if I never smile again?
If it would take me away from this unbearable pain

I stand on the precipice; I don’t want to see anymore,
Their sad, imploring eyes; So I leave and close the doors

With my mind vacant this way, I’ve got no one to blame
Because it is all still and quiet, in the eye of hurricane.
