A sonnet based on young love.
Love is such a wild flame at youth,

without care it is easy to be burnt.

How easy fun and love can hide the truth,

we grow old and age with what we’ve learnt.

Yes, we were there and mistakes were made,

from the deepest love to the darkest hate.

So why do i wish these memories never fade?

Just maybe, just maybe it was not out fate.

You are now possessed by another man.

I blew my chance that fateful night,

Still, i love you more than any mortal can,

so forever shining hope stands alight.

So now i stand alone as hurt as can be

until that awaited day when you forgive me.
