love and hate a race to find the winner
I was running yesterday and well into the night,
I ran from the hate and sadness,
I ran to find a warmth and love,
yet as I ran I realized,
I dont know what it is.

If I could find the light, the love, the warmth we all desire,
would I even know it, I have never known it yet.
I have never had a broken heart to even fight to forget.

I have heard the words,
empty as they were,
I have had hands that touched me,
yet never touched my soul.

Ive made love with strangers, strangers in my heart,
If I keep on running and I never stop, I can die unloved,
and break no ones heart.
