The difference between woman...and cell phone.
Am I your cell phone or electronic device?
You cant touch me however you like
My settings cant be changed in order to better fit you
Once on, you cant push me away
I'll be lit up in your pocket all day
Nothing you can say will push my power away
If you lose me, it might not be so easy to get me back
Show you what I can, but you still cant see
Messages that come across, you continue to ignore me
Why is that I might fight your strength to get you to see me?
I'm strong, or at least I try and be
I was made to last, not to be passed to the next
Go ahead, download all the apps you want to inside me
Sure, treat me like a trophy and try to re-model me
But I'm no phone, I'm not here to be used
I deserve compasionate feelings coming from you
With honest words that you say to me
Not your pre-recorded messages that you continue to say
If you want me, say it, but dont say it if you cannot be true
When I get broken, be a man and dont leave me sitting
Lose me, then go find me
You changed my ringtone of my heart to play your song
Wrote your name over every inch of me
Commit? Then commit.
Go wash your hands, I dont want any of your dirt from your previous phones on me
If you care, show it.
Even if you dont want me anymore
Just acknowledge these bruises that you caused on me
Step up the plate and claim me as your own
When I'm dead in the corner and feeling alone
I'll never be your phone, electrionic device, or anything
I'm me, and the truth is, you left me
I shall not be coming you think you can drop off and leave
Not after you think you've gotton all your use out of me
Be the man now, you should have been
Treat me like you have a heart in that cold machine of you
Always remember, my heart will always sing the song for you
I cannot be changed, I cannot be broken, or brought down
Just remember whatever choice you make, no matter how many stores you search in today
You'll never find someone who knows you better
Can shine like a star in the middle of the night
Unlike a phone, I'll hug you until you feel alright, and always be by your side
