What we have done to our temporary home.
Destroyed

A boy walks along the shore
And like a sunset rising from the sea
Dolphins jump as high as their personalities
A starfish briefly visits the shore
The boy throws his guest carefully back...

Into a sea of black

The dolphins cry but they drown in black negligence
A wave drags itself upon the shore
A thief returning a jewel completely destroyed
It is the starfish
No longer a living creature
But an ugly figurine
Encased in onyx forever
What have his human brothers done?
