Inspired by Murakami's Kafka on the Shore
I felt the cold winter breeze
As she entered the moonlit room.
Her gaze summoned me to freeze
With words where letters had no room.

Walked did she with careful strides,
Fingers touched in a dress so blue.
A crater that was, she rides,
Drowned in the heart of the same hue.

Her eyes tell she is in search
Of one in a chair by the shore.
Finding him, she'd take a lurch;
Return what can't be ever more.

Like fish rained down from the sky,
The unbelievable is gone.
Where the heart that yearns for lie,
The search and the escape are one.
