something I wrote for someone close to me.
Let me tell you a story in this fancy little rhyme.

In a land far away and once upon a time,

Lived two cats on top of a tree.

They were quite different from the rest you see.

Everyday at dawn they were let out of their pin,

And everyday at this tree they would meet up again.

They would watch the sun rise and watch the sun fall,

and at the end of the day their masters would call.

They never could believe how time could fly.

Slowly they climbed down and said goodbye,

So back to their pins for their master's sake,

All curled up at night they laid awake.

But the very next morning when they were let out of their pin

One of the cats did not show up again.

So the first one waited but not a single sight,

and before she knew it, it was already night.

In the distance she could hear her master called.

So slowly she climbed down and back she crawled.

Betrayed and hurt she laid awake,

she could never believe it was all just fake.

It's sad to think a cat can't cry

but don't you ever wonder if they ever try.

All the sudden her pin began to creak

So quickly she jumped up and began to sneak.

A shaded figure grew closer and slowly grew near,

but as it grew closer it all grew clear.

She gazed upon a familiar face

That she seen every day at its usual place.

The second cat turned and motioned his tail,

and off they ran down the old dirt trail.

Together they stayed all through the day

No master nor pins to lock them away.

Together they slept underneath the night's sky,

No longer they needed to say goodbye.

I Love You Katelyn!
