Rain falling in a cemetery. Inspired by "Angels weep in the garden of hopelessness"
The following is inspired by "Invalid Item"   by A Guest Visitor for March of 2012, with the phrase "Angels weep in the garden of hopelessness" as the theme of the poem. The phrase itself is not included only the theme of that phrase was followed.

Rain falls upon stone faces
as if tears cascading from unseeing eyes.
They stand with feathers made of concrete,
with Wings that will never feel flight.

Memorials to those that lay beyond hope.
Despair hangs heavily in the air as
the blanket of dark clouds fill the sky.

Heavy drops of rain,
fall upon grass that seems unnaturally green.
In this place where, the once vivid dreamers
now sleep eternally.

A garden of decay,
where dreary gray stones
are the only reminder of so many hopes
those are now swathed in earth.

rain on a stone
