A simple piece about a heartbroken girl
I give up,
I give up trying to be happy
It went up in smoke and flames
How could this be life,
So hard and confusing
I never knew I would be hurting
This hard
Can I ask you?
Just one simple question?
Do you feel it too?
Are you even effected?
You never tried to say you're sorry,
So I guess the words ran thin
I won't be the one to crawl,
I won't give in
I try to stay strong,
Just to keep life up on my shoulders
The high heels help me stand tall
I wear makeup as a mask for strength
After all,
Who needs an ever after
When you can write your own?
Reality is as fake as fantasy,
Because they seem to blend together
How funny is that?
The girl who was always so headstrong,
Is now a pathetic weak one
The girl who always knew what she wanted
Has trouble finding it anymore
It's like once I fell,
You rose
Once I lost,
You won
Once I die,
You live
It's either eat or be eaten
Predator or prey
Who were you to start,
Creating a game like this way?
I'm sorry,
I have to go,
I need to learn to live again
I know you'll find more girls to taunt
While I find a way to laugh again
I hope you tell them a story,
Of a dreamer who loved you all in all
I hope you tell them,
Of her fall
