A piece from the collection of poems on my battle with the illness Pulmonary Hypertension
I Wish I Could Be Something

Patiently stationed, shifting!
on one pain to the next,
hoping!
this carried, held tight,
is made that which holds,
this and that divided ,
thing disconnected,
rewelded in a hissing line,
pray it stays strong,
least until opportunity arises,
for a swap of its exhaustion,
old to new,
enough so this is maintained,
that of levels  refrained,
from drop below normal things,
a distant memory for thee,
outside of it all, invisible,
to everything.
