Feeling numb from head to toe.
Winter came and saw me crying,
So great was my pain.
That in an act of mercy,
She blew on me a freezing rain.
Now, I'm feeling nothing,
Not a single tingle in my mind.
Everything that mattered,
I left far behind.
Yet, now I pray for fire,
To melt away her numb.
But she's such a lovely lady,
And to her icy nothing I succomb.
I need a Jolt to wake me,
To end my reverie.
A single taste of sunshine,
Perhaps a dream for me to carry.
The laughter of a child,
Once I knew that sound so well.
A warm and golden sound,
that rings out like a bell.
If summer was my lover,
He could melt my icey heart.
And from his burning passion,
I never would depart.
I would warm from his fire,
And taste him on my lips.
I would wrap myself around him,
Drink him up in sips.
From the warming timber of his voice,
A blanket I would weave.
Just to wrap around myself,
And never would I leave.
