Ah Grandfather clock
That wavers with the wind
I hear the very source of your life
The breath that you puff
Right along with mine
Is as sharp as the blade of a knife

Should it ever cease
The breath that eases me
I'm sure I would vanish right along
The minute it stops
That pendulum that rocks
Would cut a last breath slow and long
