You never know when it could happen, to who by who.
FOR THE LOVE OF A CHILD

She was only a little girl
With dreams of her own
And such a big family
No chance to feel alone

One day that all ended
Her innocence was taken
By someone she trusted
Her whole world broken

For years and years it went on
With no way she could leave
And when it was her time
No girls would she conceive

To live the life she did
All those lonely years
Left alone to fight
With nothing but tears

She grew up and married
Time for children of her own
She took what God gave her
What seed had been sown

A girl she gave birth to
Just what she had dread
How could she love her
Her fears were mislead

Years went by, her little girl grew
Smart, healthy safe and bright
She had taken good care of her
And did for her what was right

Her little girl taught her how to love
Without fear, with all that she had
To open her heart and give of herself
Thankfully for her she was glad

God chose this way to teach her
With the love of a child
To open her heart and give
Not all of her was defiled.
