A poem about a woman cope with her impending change in her life.
I open my eyes
As the sun begins to rise
The Room grows bright
Ceasing the end of the night

End of an era for me
My childhood ceases to be
My Fiance awaits The Bride to be
I will cease to be free

The Veil passes over my face
As I give up the running chase
I enter the limo with nerves and fear
As my pending future further draws near

My life is beginning to change
Yet to me it feels like an exchange
For I am now the property of a man
Maybe I should have just ran
