An unusual engineer.
Listen dear readers and you shall hear
about a funny engineer
who had a hand in Hoover Dam
but often acted like a ham.

He knew of structures left and right--
impounding water his delight.
He’d know design specs at a glance
and calculate in Capri pants.

(For dams can keep the water in
yet he was fond of showing shin.
He dressed like he was at the beach
but designed dams to never breech.)

“What do you want, egg in your beer?”
A saying that this ham found dear.
For eggs and beer were made just right
to bridge his hammy appetite.

One time he took a spray paint can
and wrapped it thickly with Saran.
He boxed it with a power lift
then gave it as a birthday gift.

Then with a noose one budding spring
he found a pub to do his thing.
He put a lasso ‘round two kegs
and flavored ale with Easter eggs.
