Another about Childhood
Little girl
Lost is she
Lost in a mind
Mind of no memory

Dark doorways, dark rooms
Locks and keys
Keyholes, none unlock.
Darkness remains.

Hide and hidden
Closet doors
Under cover
Under bed

Don’t even breathe quiet mouse
Don’t ever talk, you’ll die

Authority and anger
Pain and my own blood
Blacked out, blocked out
Him and a smile I hate

Punched through doors
How young is she?
Pulled from safety
This little rag doll

Do what you must do.
I’m no longer in this body.
Nothing remains and no memory

How is it, gun is shot
Bullet hits and now triggers remain,
Gun still shooting, metaphors unseen.
