The battle is coming to an end.
Bottled up inside
Is Peter Pan
And Captain Hook
Fighting the same old battle
On the precipice above the sea.

And I see the constant deadlock.
Where once Peter would win
Hook now has the chance to overcome him
And as time ticks by
Peter loses a bit of his strength
And Hook is winning by a mile.

I wonder if Peter and Hook ever tried
To talk things out
And get along.
But that's not the way of the world
And peace rarely ever wins out.

Right now, it is a deadlock.
Right now, Peter is growing weaker.
Even still, I hope that someday
I'll find Peter and Hook a place to stay
In this bottle of a heart.

Even now, I hope that someday
I'll be Peter;
I'll be Hook;
And though time treads by
And Peter inches towards the edge,
I want Hook to see
The beauty of this Peter Pan
And save him.
