Feelings. Structure intended.
The light in my eyes fade,
The smile once played falls,
Lips dried and cracked from
Lack of motion and nurture.
Crystalline characters fall and
Shatter, seemingly solid and
Strong ‘til the slightest disturbance.
A sigh escapes my lips as
Past joys begin to fade into
Nothing, memories become
Distant and unfamiliar as does
My thoughts of the future.
Never have I felt more trapped
In the present, destined for
Nothing or at most some unknown.
Sickened and tired, my mind
Plays tricks and a shadow of
Doubt spreads like a virus.
Am I a crystalline character, soon
To be shattered?
