A poem I feel about my old friend who couldn't believe me.
You can't trust me
I understand
You don't want me
I'll miss you
That is what I say
I'm living a lie,
Acting out the play
I miss you to the point
My heart is breaking
It hurts to breath those gentle breathes
I didn't lie and I'm not begging
I'll just lay here and wither and die
No no no, I will still be of use
For as the paper crane calls
I will not falter a Rue's call for protection
I offer you a mockingjay's protection
I will be your wings as you were me
From afar a branch full of tracker jacker bees
I watch for your failer
So I can save the girl
Who couldn't believe or trust
Who had the paper crane so dear
The Rue who will be saved
By the sweet notes of
A moutain air
I will be Katniss
You be Rue
I will die protecting you
Unlike the story that held our bonds
This time you'll sing me to sleep
So I may fly with mockingjays so sweet
