Severed connections and communication can leave a person wondering what is real.
Shorted Out Wires

She pulled out the wires one by one
Honesty stopped communication done
She flipped the switch and pulled the lever
She ignored her  promise of forever

She walked away without a thought
Carefree stepping in what she sought
A silly woman made a foolish man
Thinking she was his biggest fan

She just had to tell him after the end
She already had others to attend
There was no reason to say
Unless to make him pay

All her words have turned to lies
Guess she smiles while he dies
He trusted for no reason
In a too brief a season

Now there’s no reason to trust
Romantic ideals are just a bust
Only one thing to count on
Only one thought to mount on

People will take and use what they can
Some by accident and some by plan
So open your eyes, and be a man
Or it’s out of the fire and into the pan
