Temptation
I understand that it's hard to say no. That when temptation arises it takes all of your might not to let go. But my friend, my dear friend, do not let go. Your life is more valuable than the life where temptation goes. I say this because I care and because, believe it or not, I've been there. No, I haven't experienced all of your pain or had to deal with the same hurt that can drive a person insane. But this I can promise, there is a life better than what you see in front of you. Don't believe the lies that fall softly on your ears ... whispering of a fun time if you just linger near. It's fun for a season maybe two, but once the fun is gone where will it leave you? Scattered memories you wish were never made, broken hearts that were never meant to break, but that's just a price that has to be paid to live it up before we go to our graves. I've been there ... on the other side of the window, looking in with glassy eyes. Not knowing what to do or what I even wanted I walked in the church trying to get my thoughts to process. Little did I know, my doubts would begin to fade away and even though sometimes I still worry I don't want to go back not even for a day. , I know your pain is more than real, but my dear friend I know of someone who can heal. Who, when the storm clouds rise, will shield your tender ears from the thunder. He is a friend like no other. My Jesus, my friend, my shelter
