started as a prompt from my teacher.
what moves my hand
My hand moves in slow motion, fast motion, quivers, taps, and jumps on the paper, it's controlled by the bones beneath my skin and my brain inside my skull. my thoughts crowd my mind and trickle down my ears, slide down my neck and shoulders, then slither down my arms stopping at my fingertips. the thought are jumbled at first, then slowly mold together creating what my soul is feeling. Hand cramps do not stop my mind from moving the pen across the pad because if i stop i might never find my way again. Beneath my pen, skin, bones, blood, brain, soul, thoughts, is this inner self that cannot be explained. true beauty lies beneath all that you see. only through my writing can you see a glimpse of my true identity.
