Written some time ago after a chance encounter with an old friend.
I remember you

I remember you

Moving slowly beneath me on cold dark nights

Rivulets of sweat between your breasts

Crying with joy when entering you

Crying with sorrow when you withdrew

Warm and passionate in your red coat

Cold and hard when you said

‘I don’t love him, but he will look after me’

Heart broken in a thousand pieces

Each one a memory of your day

I remember how easily I forgot you

Cast you away into the past

Till bursts of shared sun and laughter broke through that aged concrete

Exploded as so many times with you

Holding you tightly in your chair

Listening to your heartbeat as you slept

Nibbling your ear

You putting my hand gently there

Feeling you slide on me

Watching you sitting strong on me

Holding your hips as you move

So many times

Now meeting me will jeopardise your marriage

Lost echoes of whispered confidences,

Thoughts and dreams still in the air

So much I know, when

I remember you
